It has been developed and is awarded by Highfield Qualifications and sits on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF). The RQF is a qualification framework regulated by Ofqual and CCEA Regulation. It is an accredited qualification and suited for anyone who wishes to work in the private security industry in the UK. With this licence individuals can work in places, such as corporate buildings, shopping malls, retail outlets, construction sites, residential sites, schools, banks, hospitals, stadiums, hotels, cinemas, etc., but you cannot work in any venue with entertainment and alcohol licence.

This course is based on relevant SIA specifications for learning and qualifications, and therefore provides the necessary skills and knowledge for learners to apply for an SIA licence in this field. It is recommended to complete the Door Supervisor course over Security Guarding course, as there is far more demand for Door Supervisors in the UK and most importantly, with Door Supervisor licence you can work as a security guard, but with security guard licence you cannot work as a Door Supervisor.
