Job description
Job Title: Picker & Packer (Factory/Warehouse Operative)
Location: London, UK (various warehouse and factory locations)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Part-Time, or Zero-Hour Contract (we have ongoing as well as seasonal/temp positions)
Shift Pattern: Shifts vary – opportunities for Day Shifts and Night Shifts are available. Some roles may involve rotating shifts or weekend work to meet demand, especially during peak periods.
Salary: Typically, £12.5 to £15 per hour.
Job Description:
We are looking for efficient and detail-oriented Pickers & Packers to fill roles in warehouses and factories in London. As a picker/packer, you will play a crucial part in the supply chain process, helping to ensure products are correctly picked, packed, and shipped to customers or retail outlets. These roles are vital in industries such as e-commerce, logistics, manufacturing, and food distribution. You will work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment to meet daily targets and maintain smooth warehouse operations. No formal experience is required for junior roles – training is provided on the job – making this a great entry-level opportunity. However, experienced warehouse operatives are also welcome and can find opportunities for higher responsibility positions (such as team leaders or forklift operators).
Key Responsibilities:
• Order Picking: Accurately read order lists or scanning devices to identify products that need to be picked from storage. Locate, scan, and collect items from shelves or bins in the warehouse according to customer orders or production requirements. Ensure the correct quantity and product code for each order, paying attention to detail to avoid errors.
• Packing Products: Package items securely and neatly for shipment or storage. This includes labelling boxes or containers, wrapping products with protective materials as needed, and sealing packages (using tape, glue, or shrink wrap machinery) to prevent damage. Packers will follow specific instructions for different product types (for example, fragile items may need bubble wrap, food items might require airtight sealing, etc.).
• Material Handling: Physically move goods within the warehouse/factory. This can involve transferring picked items to the packing area, moving packed boxes to loading bays, or organizing stock in the storage area. Use of handling equipment like pallet jacks, trolleys, or conveyor belts is common.
• Loading/Unloading: Assist with loading delivery vehicles with packed orders and unloading incoming stock deliveries. Ensure goods are loaded securely to prevent shifting or damage in transit. Work as a team to handle heavy or bulky items safely.
• General Warehouse Upkeep: Maintain a clean and organised work area. This includes keeping packing stations tidy, disposing of packaging waste, and following recycling procedures. Adhere to safety guidelines – for example, keeping aisles clear of obstructions, reporting any hazards, and handling equipment properly to prevent accidents. You may also be tasked with other basic warehouse duties such as sorting incoming stock, assisting in other departments (like assisting machine operators in a factory line), or other tasks as required by your supervisor.
Key Requirements:
• No Formal Qualifications Required: No specific educational credentials are required for picker/packer positions – we value reliability and work ethic foremost. Basic literacy and numeracy skills are needed to read order sheets and count stock.
• Physical Ability: This job is physically active. You must be comfortable standing and walking for extended periods and capable of lifting and moving packages.
• Work Ethic & Dependability: We seek candidates who are punctual, dependable, and have a positive attitude.
• Teamwork and Communication: While a lot of tasks are individual, you will be working as part of a larger team and under the supervision of a shift manager or team leader. Good communication skills help in coordinating with colleagues.
What We Offer:
• Steady Work & Flexible Scheduling: We offer positions that can fit your schedule – whether you want full-time steady hours or part-time/temporary work.
• Competitive Hourly Pay: Our pay rates are competitive for the London area, with entry-level roles around £12.50 to £15 per hour.
• On-the-Job Training: You will receive training on warehouse/factory procedures, safety protocols, and how to use any required technology (scanners, software) from day one. No prior experience? No problem – many people start in these roles and learn quickly with our support. For those with experience, it will be easy to integrate into the workflow, and you can even help mentor newcomers.
• Supportive Team Environment: Working through our agency means you have an extra layer of support. We frequently check in with our placed staff to ensure the job is going well. If any issues arise at the workplace, we assist in resolving them. We also celebrate and reward reliable workers consistent performance could lead to recommendation for permanent positions with our clients or internal promotions (such as shift coordinator roles).
If you are organised, hardworking, and ready to be an important part of a warehouse or factory team, we encourage you to apply. Whether you’re looking to get started in the workforce or aiming to build your experience in logistics, this picker/packer role is a great opportunity.

Job Title: Construction Workers – Multiple Roles Available (General Labourers, Bricklayers, Carpenters, Site Supervisors/Foremen)
Location: London, UK (various construction sites and projects across the city)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Part-Time, or Project-Based Contracts (roles with flexible arrangements, including the possibility of zero-hour contracts for short-term assignments)
Shift Pattern: Generally, Day Shifts (Monday–Friday, approx. 8am–5pm), with some projects requiring Evening or Weekend work depending on deadlines. Overtime may be available during peak project phases.
Salary: Hourly pay varies by role and experience. For example:
• General Labourers: £12.5 – £15 per hour.
• Skilled Trades (Bricklayers/Carpenters): £14 to £20+ per hour, with experienced bricklayers earning up to £45,000 annually.
• Site Supervisors/Foremen: £20 to £25+ per hour, with experienced foremen/supervisors earning £50,000 or more per year.
(These ranges are guidelines; exact pay will depend on the specific role, your qualifications, and the contract.)
Job Description:
We are recruiting Construction Workers for multiple roles on construction and building sites in London. Our company has clients seeking reliable workers in various trades and positions. Whether you are a general labourer starting your construction career or a seasoned tradesperson (bricklayer/carpenter) or a qualified site supervisor, we have opportunities for you. You’ll be working on projects that may include commercial buildings, residential developments, renovations, and infrastructure works. Safety, teamwork, and work ethic are paramount on all sites.
Key Responsibilities (by Role):
• General Labourers: Perform manual and supportive tasks to assist skilled tradespeople and keep the site running smoothly. This includes preparing and cleaning the construction site, loading and unloading materials, mixing mortar or concrete, digging trenches, and setting up equipment. Labourers also help move materials around the site (often by hand or using wheelbarrows or pallet trucks) and ensure that trades workers (bricklayers, carpenters, etc.) have the supplies needed (bricks, timber, mortar) readily available. You may also put up simple formwork or assist in basic construction tasks under supervision. Maintaining site tidiness and adhering to safety instructions are crucial parts of the role.
• Bricklayers: Construct and repair structures made of bricks, blocks, and other masonry materials. You will lay bricks and blocks in line with project plans and building codes, using mortar to bind them.
• Carpenters: Build, install, and repair wooden frameworks and fixtures on the construction site.
• Site Supervisors/Foremen: Oversee and coordinate daily operations on the construction site. Regularly liaising with project managers, engineers, or contractors to provide progress updates, and solving any on-site problems or delays, are part of your day-to-day duties. Documentation such as daily logs, incident reports, and quality assurance checklists will also fall to you. Essentially, you are the team leader on the ground ensuring the project runs smoothly, on time, and safely.
Key Requirements:
• Certification (CSCS Card): All applicants must hold a valid CSCS card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) appropriate for their role. This is a mandatory requirement to work on most construction sites in the UK, indicating you have passed the relevant Health & Safety test. (E.g., a Green Labourer CSCS Card for general labourers, Blue/Gold trade-specific CSCS Card for skilled workers, and Gold/Black CSCS Card for supervisors/managers.)
• Experience & Training: Relevant experience in the applied role is required or strongly preferred. For labourers, some prior construction site experience or manual work experience is beneficial. For skilled trades (bricklayers, carpenters), a completed apprenticeship or NVQ Level 2/3 qualification in your trade is preferred, or several years of work experience proving your expertise. For Site Supervisors/Foremen, prior experience in a leadership role on construction sites is expected; having SSSTS/SMSTS certification (Site Supervisor/Management Safety Training Scheme) and a proven track record of managing teams will be a big advantage.
• Skills: All candidates should have a strong understanding of construction site safety protocols and knowledge of their trade’s best practices. Teamwork and communication skills are important, as construction is a team effort requiring coordination with co-workers and site managers. Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic are essential traits we expect. For skilled roles, a good eye for detail and craftsmanship (for quality construction work) is needed. For supervisors, solid leadership and organisational skills are critical – you must be able to effectively coordinate people and tasks, and clearly communicate instructions.
• Physical Requirements: These roles are physically demanding. You must be fit to perform manual labour, including lifting heavy materials, operating equipment, and standing/moving for most of the workday. A capacity to work in various weather conditions is needed since much construction work is outdoors. Being comfortable with heights or confined spaces might be necessary for certain tasks.
• Tools & Equipment: Familiarity with common construction tools and equipment relevant to your role is required. Labourers should know how to safely use basic tools (shovels, mixers, drills). Bricklayers and carpenters must have proficiency with their trade tools (trowels, levels, masonry saws for bricklayers; saws, hammers, chisels, power tools for carpenters). Having your own basic tool kit and personal protective equipment (PPE) such as steel-toe boots and high-visibility clothing is often expected.
• Compliance: You should be knowledgeable about and adhere to health and safety regulations on site. This includes wearing PPE at all times, following safety briefings, and practicing safe lifting and operation of equipment. A commitment to maintaining a safe work environment for yourself and others is mandatory.
What We Offer:
• Placement in Reputable Projects: We work with well-established construction companies in London. You’ll have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, enhancing your skills and resume.
• Competitive Pay & Overtime: We offer competitive hourly rates for all roles.
• Flexible Employment: Whether you are looking for a short-term gig or a stable long-term placement, we have options. The flexibility of full-time, part-time, or zero-hour contracts means we can accommodate your availability. This is ideal for tradespeople who may have other jobs or commitments, or those seeking a steady pipeline of work through our agency.
If you’re hardworking, skilled (or eager to learn for entry-level labourers), and hold the necessary certifications, we invite you to apply. Join our pool of construction professionals building London’s future – one project at a time.
