First Aid training requirements for door supervisors and security officers (guards) became compulsory since 1 April 2021. All leaners wishing to start the SIA courses must complete the training and obtain First Aid Qualification before starting a course. We can accept a first aid qualification if all of the following statements are true: 1. It meets the requirements of HSE regulations. 2. It is valid for at least another 12 months from the start of the SIA licence-linked training. 3. We have made reasonable efforts to confirm that it complies with all other requirements. 4. We have made reasonable efforts to confirm that the practical elements of training (such as CPR, the application of a tourniquet, treating burns and eye injuries) were delivered and assessed face to face.
