Level 3 Award in Health & Safety in the Workplace

All employers have duty to protect the health, safety and welfare of their employees and other people who might be affected by their business. Employers must do whatever is reasonably practicable to achieve this.

Consequently, Workers have a duty to take care of their own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by your actions at work. Workers must co-operate with employers and co-workers to help everyone meet their legal requirements.

Who is this qualification for?

This qualification is designed for employees working in the capacity of supervisor, manager or team leader and also those who are preparing to start work at this level, and gives them knowledge of health and safety, such as the requirements of health, safety and welfare; the benefits of a health and safety management system; the risks and control measures for common workplace hazards; how to manage the effects of incidents and accidents; and the principles of risk assessment.

  • a valid passport (any nationality)

  • a signed UK photocard driving licence

  • a valid warrant card issued by HM forces or the police

Results

Results are available within 10 working days of the exams. HIGH PASS RATE

Certification

Successful candidates will receive a Level 3 Health & Safety Within The Workplace from a recognised awarding body within England and Wales. It is valid for a period of 3 years and can be renewed by attending another Level 3 Health & Safety Within The Workplace course.

How is the qualification assessed?

This qualification is assessed by a multiple-choice question examination containing 60 questions that must be completed within 120 minutes. Successful learners must achieve a score of at least 40 out of 60. Learners will achieve a Merit at 50 out of 60.
